Either viewpoint is plausible but i must say that when the non-content is so nonchalantly hedonistic and sinful, it is almost a double negative. I mean you listen to a hot beat just to feel good and let go, and end up with demons subconsciously lowering your inhibitions towards murder, crime, promiscuity, and spending money i return... I think content is important, especially when you are a big time public speaker like most of the rappers are with their stages.
